Stacey Buck
Ed.D., COMS, NBPTS
Stacey Buck is an Assistant Professor of Education at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, where she prepares future educators in the areas of special education, teaching methods, planning, classroom management and assessment. In addition to her faculty role, she works per diem for Aurora of Central New York, providing vision services to adults with vision loss.
Prior to joining Le Moyne College, Stacey spent 15 years in public education serving students with disabilities at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Her experience includes roles in a variety of settings including co-taught, resource, self-contained special education, itinerant TVI and COMS, and In-District Autism Consultant (Project ACCESS). She has extensive experience supporting students with significant cognitive disabilities and complex access needs.
Stacey is a National Board Certified Teacher (Exceptional Needs Specialist), a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS), and holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Evangel University. She also serves as an item writer for alternate assessments and is actively engaged in research and professional service focused on improving educational opportunities for students with disabilities and the teachers who serve them.
Stacey lives in Central New York with her husband, Steve, and their daughter, Izabella. When she is not teaching or working with students, she enjoys quilting, collecting hippos, and exploring quilt shops throughout the Northeast.
