Vision Services

Every individual deserves the opportunity to access their environment, participate independently, and develop the skills needed to achieve their personal, educational, vocational, and community goals. As a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) and Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI), I provide individualized vision services that promote confidence, independence, and meaningful participation at home, school, work, and in the community.

Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI)
  • Functional Vision Assessments (FVA)

  • Learning Media Assessments (LMA)

  • Braille instruction

  • Assistive technology for students with visual impairments

  • Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) instruction

  • Academic accommodations and modifications

  • IEP consultation and goal development

  • Collaboration with classroom teachers and related service providers

Orientation & Mobility (COMS)
  • Orientation and Mobility evaluations

  • White cane instruction

  • Indoor and outdoor travel skills

  • Street crossings and community travel

  • Public transportation training

  • Independent living and navigation skills

  • Transition planning for secondary students

Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC)

Instruction may include:

Based in Cazenovia, New York, I provide services throughout Madison, Onondaga, Oneida, Cortland, and northern Chenango counties.
